# Getting started with Utopia

First head to the [Utopia Website](https://topia.fi/)

After reaching the homepage click on the button on the top right corner which is the button to connect your Web 3 Wallet as shown by the arrow.

A popup dialog box will appear as shown. Here you can select the wallet that you are using and want to connect.

Utopia will default to the network that your wallet is set to. In order to change the network and use Utopia on a different network, go to the top right wallet tab (step 1). You can see it shows you your public address as well as the network you are on. Click on the network name as shown by the second arrow.

A popup will appear, however this time it shows you the different networks of Utopia. Select the network you want to switch to. In this example we are switching from Fantom Opera to Avalanche.

If the network is not added into your wallet already, it will ask you to add it by a pop up in your wallet as shown in the image. Click on the approve to allow your wallet to add the network to your wallet.

Once the network is added, another popup will ask you to switch the network. As you can see in this example we are asked if we want to switch from Fantom Opera to Avalanche. Click on the “Switch network” button and allow your wallet to switch the network.

Once you have your wallet ready and on the right network you can click on the “Buy/Sell” button on the top right as shown in the image.

This will take you to the explore tab where you can use various tools as stated [here](/utopia/guides/utopia-ui-breakdown/explore-dashboard.md).

Once you have decided the Utopia Token you want to buy, click on it and it will take you to it’s buy page.

Here, you can select the amount of Utopia Tokens you want to buy and the currency you want to pay in by clicking on the name of the currency.

You can select the coin you want to pay with to buy the Utopia Token.<br>

Once the amount and the payment currency is entered click on the “Preview Buy (your Utopia Token)”.

The order preview will show you the details of the transaction. Once you verify the details then click on the “Buy” button. This will prompt you to sign the transaction in your wallet.

A pop up will show you the transaction and gas fees associated with the transaction. Click on the confirm button to sign and confirm the transaction.

The time to receive confirmation of the transaction depends on how busy the network is. Once the transaction is confirmed you will see the amount of tokens purchased, as shown.
